Welcome to Yukon Home Education Society

Yukon's Community of Home Educators

About YHES

Yukon Homeschool Education Society is a non-profit society created to bring together families who choose to homeschool. Volunteer parents and the YHES Board organize activities and events for our kids (including arts classes, swimming and ski/snowboard lessons, and wildlife preserve tours), advocate for home-educators' interests, and provide community and support for home-educating families.

As students in the Yukon, YHES members can participate in some of the same opportunities as public school students through AVS. Examples are sporting events/competitions.

Membership

YHES membership fees, along with fundraising funds, cover the digital platform (Mighty Networks) and administrative costs of running the society. Surplus funds after those expenses are allocated towards the cost for children to participate in YHES activities.

Registration includes:

- Access to YHES on Mighty Network

- Join YHES on the Facebook page

- Members can participate in YHES facilitated activities
